Activity Center and Intramural Sports

(Reference Policy 7.25)

The Activity Center is available to all regular employees. The center features an indoor track; basketball, volleyball, racquetball and handball courts; rock climbing wall, cardio room and weight room facility. Employees may also participate in intramural sport activities.

Golf Course Facilities

NMSU has an 18-hole golf course located directly across Interstate 25 from the main campus. Regular employees are eligible for a reduced green fee membership at the University Golf Course. The discounted amount is subject to taxation by the IRS, and will be added to the employee’s taxable income.

Swimming Pool Facilities

The NMSU Natatorium features both an indoor and outdoor pool facility. Regular employees and their family may purchase semester passes to use the facilities.

Tennis Center

The NMSU Tennis Center is the largest facility of its kind in New Mexico featuring 12 lighted courts. Regular employees may receive a reduced annual rate.

Athletic Activities

Regular employees may purchase season tickets at reduced rates for NMSU sporting events. The discounted amount is subject to taxation by the IRS, and will be added to the employee’s taxable income.
