2009 Switch Enrollment

Annual enrollment for medical, dental and vision benefits will take place April 13, 2009 through April 30, 2009. Enrollment will take place via the NMSU website.

Options for Medical Change:

  • Switch coverage from your current carrier to another medical carrier
  • Drop coverage for yourself and/or your dependents

Options for Dental Change:

  • Drop coverage for yourself and/or your dependents

Options for Vision Enrollment/change:

  • Add coverage for yourself and/or your dependents
  • Drop coverage for yourself and/or your dependents

The State of New Mexico has confirmed there will not be an increase in Medical or Dental premiums; however, there will be changes to the plan design.The changes include an slight increase in copays and an increase in deductibles and out of pocket maximums for the medical plans. Presentations were given by the plan representatives April 14-16th. Below are copies of those presentations, as well as a video of one of the presentations given. Please take the time to review the presentations.

Enrollment/change deadline is April 30, 2009. All changes made through the online enrollment are effective July 1, 2009.
