2008 Open Enrollment

All benefit eligible employees will have the opportunity to participate in the 2008 Open Enrollment for medical, dental and vision benefits. Open Enrollment will take place online from April 14, 2008 through April 30, 2008. All changes will go into effect July 1, 2008.

Please Note: All employees currently enrolled in the CIGNA Open Access health plan will need to enroll in another health plan during the open enrollment. CIGNA will no longer be a carrier with the State of New Mexico as of July 1, 2008. CIGNA participants who do not enroll as part of the open enrollment into another health plan will lose coverage as of June 30, 2008.

Add Coverage- medical, dental, and/or vision
Cancel Coverage- medical and/or dental
Change Carrier- medical only (REQUIRED for CIGNA participants)
Change Covered Dependents- medical and/or dental

Dependent children may be covered as long as they are under the age of 25 and unmarried. Any children who do not meet the eligibility requirements will not have coverage through the carrier, regardless of premiums paid.
Domestic parter affidavits must be on file with the Benefit Services department prior to April 30, 2008 for domestic partner benefit coverage to take effect July 1, 2008.
