Benefits effective first of the pay period after 30 days of employment
Eligibility – regular employees working 20 hours per week (.5 FTE) or more

Medical insurance is available to eligible Employees and dependents. Medical coverage is offered through the State of New Mexico’s benefit program. Employees may choose between Presbyterian Health HMO, Lovelace HMO, United Healthcare PPO or Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico PPO (Plan Comparisons). Premium contributions are based on employee’s annual salary and a percentage is paid by the University (see chart’s below). Late enrollment is available with a 90 day waiting period after the date of enrollment. Pre-existing conditions apply for late enrollments. Please see individual Medical Benefit Summaries for details.
Prescription benefits are part of the Medical Plan and are available through a participating pharmacy or through home delivery service.
