RE: Online Tuition Waiver Request Process – Summer Deadline – August 1st
DATE: July 18, 2013
This is a reminder that electronic submission for Summer 2013 will close August 1st at 11:59 p.m. MST.
Each semester/session, the online request is available 10 calendar days prior to the start of classes. The employee and supervisor have the following deadlines to submit and approve/deny the request:
Summer Sessions – Online submission closes August 1st
Fall Session – Online submission closes November 1st
Spring Session – Online submission closes April 1st
Employees who do not submit and get approval for their online waiver request by August 1st will not be eligible for the tuition waiver for Summer 2013.
Supervisors have the option of approving the request or denying the request. If the request is denied, the employee will not be able to resubmit the request for the same class(es). Supervisors who do not approve or deny submitted requests by August 1st will, by default, be disapproving the benefit for the employee for Summer 2013.
The dependent waiver process allows employees to submit the request for tuition waiver for all eligible dependents on file with Benefit Services and who are registered for classes with any NMSU campus, unless they receive the Lottery Scholarship.
