New Employee Orientation
New Employee/Benefits Orientation Session
Employees* have the opportunity to attend a New Employee/Benefits Orientation group session within 30 calendar days from their date of hire. Most of the insurance plans offered at NMSU require employees enroll within their first 31 calendar days of regular employment to avoid late enrollment provisions.

- Registration prior to the date the session is held is required to attend
- Seating is limited
- Sessions last approximately 2 1/2 – 2 3/4 hours
If you do not attend a New Employee Orientation/Benefits session, you may obtain enrollment materials by contacting your Primary HR Liaison in your department/college within 30 calendar days of regular employment. If you have any questions regarding the completion of your enrollment materials, please contact the HR Service Center at 575-646-8000 or send an email to benefits@nmsu.edu.
