HR Services works in partnership with managers and their teams, with individual employees, and with other groups to provide programs and services that create a work environment of employee empowerment and involvement in the organization. Therefore, HR Services strives to implement and develop resources that enhance NMSU’s efficiency. Listed below are our largely important initiatives that span university-wide.

Electronic employee onboarding implemented November 2014. The Onboarding system customized for NMSU through PeopleAdmin is designed to better acclimate new employees with their jobs, departments, and NMSU.
Per regulations under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as, Health Care Reform (HCR), employers must offer full-time employees (and their dependents) affordable health coverage by January 1, 2014.
Version 5.8 implemented in October 2011.
Version 7.6 implemented October 2013.
Implemented and effective October 1, 2012. The time and leave tracking taking place in Self Services now operates off the ‘Reports To’ field in Banner.
