HR Services works in partnership with managers and their teams, with individual employees, and with other groups to provide programs and services that create a work environment of employee empowerment and involvement in the organization. Therefore, HR Services strives to implement and develop resources that enhance NMSU’s efficiency. Listed below are our largely important initiatives that span university-wide.
Primary Initiatives Underway
In the fall of 2014, HRS is rolling out an electronic employee Onboarding system to help better acclimate new employees with their, jobs, departments and NMSU.

Per regulations under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, also known as, Health Care Reform (HCR), employers must offer full-time employees (and their dependents) affordable health coverage by January 1, 2014.
Version 5.8 implemented in October 2011. Version 7.6 is underway for October 2013!
