Purpose of Classification:
Under supervision, responsible for the design, modeling, testing, delivery, and evaluation of training programs of a highly technical or sophisticated nature. May participate or assist in the coordination of organizational and career consultation services.
Standard Duties:
Under general supervision, conducts or facilitates general and specific training programs for organization employees. Provides orientation and training on new course materials through the selection of appropriate training aids. Prepares lesson plans relevant to training material. Works with Subject Matter Experts to identify training needs and objectives in order to develop the training. May assist in the development and conversion of training to innovative online and other technology-assisted education venues utilizing cutting-edge and creative design and training delivery options. May recommend changes to the training programs to meet the needs of all learning types. Analyzes training evaluations in order to judge effectiveness of training sessions and to implement suggestions for improvements. May provide direction to associate or junior level trainers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles, and of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and formats. Knowledge of curriculum development and preparation procedures. Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Teaching and facilitation skills. Skill in preparing training aids and plans.
Maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or related field
   Experience- Three (3) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
