Purpose of Classification:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Audit Officer, develops and performs all activities related to the risk assessment and auditing of information technologies, systems, procedures, and controls, including the planning and completing of the annual IT audit plan, as well as consulting services for planned or special projects relating to information systems' security, audit, and control on all campuses. Works in conjunction with the IT Compliance Officer in ICT. Assists in the performance of financial, compliance, and operational audits.
Standard Duties:
Assessment and assurance of IT systems, procedures, and controls. Consulting services for projects relating to systems' security, audit, and control on all campuses. Assist in the IT needs for financial, compliance, and operational audits.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of internal control and auditing principles; technical experience in area of information technology concepts, practices, and procedures; and a demonstrated understanding of complex information systems and infrastructure. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Banner, and data extraction and analysis.
Project management methodology skills.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and to present issues for discussion with all levels of University management. Ability to act independently in appraisal and analysis of any University operation.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in computer science, accounting, finance, business computer systems, business administration or related discipline.
   Experience- Four (4) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- None.
