Getting StartedAffiliated Faculty & Staff are individuals who are financially independent of the university and associated to provide support or services to one or more university program(s) without receiving monetary compensation. The hiring department must submit an Electronic Personnel Action Form (EPAF) to complete the hiring action. Departments must complete the New Employee Data Form for those who are new to NMSU in order to establish an employment record in the banner system. The EPAF must show an appointment end date no later than 12 months from date of hire. Affiliated appointments may be renewed annually. Affiliated hires will receive an Aggie ID for access to NMSU (email access, parking privileges, ID card, may also sign up for recreation-sports program Aggie Fit etc.). Affiliated Faculty only will also have library privileges https://hr.nmsu.edu/toolkits/affiliate/.Affiliated FacultyPosition Number: 918997 Individuals granted Affiliated Faculty status must have the minimum credentials required to serve as a faculty member at NMSU (See ARP 6.50 – Faculty Credentials Required of NMSU Instructors of Record). ARP 2.55 – Non-tenure Track Faculty Appointments requires approval from the Deans of all Academic Units for Affiliated Faculty hires.
