| Purpose of Classification: | |
| Chief academic officer for a large Community College responsible for providing leadership and direction to all aspects of academic affairs. Leads in development, revision and maintenance of operating procedures and principles regarding all academic activities. | |
| Standard Duties: | |
| Administrative oversight of academic/instructional support personnel. Administrative oversight of academic/instructional programs. Development, coordination and maintenance of community and statewide partnerships in academic/instructional programming and support. Leadership in revision and maintenance of operating procedures and principles regarding all academic activities. Administrative leadership in fund-raising for academic program development. Leadership in statewide academic activities with HED, PED, other institutions of higher learning. | |
| Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
| Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals. | |

| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Education- PhD in a related field. | |
