Purpose of Classification:
Chief academic officer for a large Community College responsible for providing leadership and direction to all aspects of academic affairs. Leads in development, revision and maintenance of operating procedures and principles regarding all academic activities.
Standard Duties:
Administrative oversight of academic/instructional support personnel. Administrative oversight of academic/instructional programs. Development, coordination and maintenance of community and statewide partnerships in academic/instructional programming and support. Leadership in revision and maintenance of operating procedures and principles regarding all academic activities. Administrative leadership in fund-raising for academic program development. Leadership in statewide academic activities with HED, PED, other institutions of higher learning.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- PhD in a related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of related professional experience.
