Purpose of Classification:
Plans and coordinates the day-to-day administrative, programmatic, and operational activities of a narrowly defined area within Residential Life. Duties typically include program implementation and administration, internal and external liaison, and reporting. Responsible for the supervision and direction of assigned residence life staff.
Standard Duties:
Oversees assigned residence life staff and ensures compliance with residence hall policies. Develops educational, recreational and/or social programs and services for residents; advises and interacts with organizations and other departments to enhance residence life experience and resident retention. Serves as the primary resource for information and problem resolution within area of focus. Participates in a range of committees and governing/advisory bodies with respect to residence life issues and systems. Oversees the supervision of assigned personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques. Knowledge of student support programs and services. Knowledge of emergency and disaster recovery planning.

Ability to assess training and in-service needs in area of specialty, and to provide consultation and arrange/facilitate training and seminars.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Three (3) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
