Purpose of Classification: | |
Oversees the business and broadcasting affairs of KRWG FM/TV and the Special Production Unit. Coordinates project planning, fundraising, deployment of resources and execution/delivery of programming initiatives. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Budgeting, strategic planning, equipment. Research, evaluation and procurement of suitable programs. Oversee the membership, major gift and planned giving activities. Participate in community activities, prepare and interact with elected officials . Provide direction and oversight of athletic and special productions. Coordinate academic interaction and support campus functions. Work with CPB, PBS, NPR, APTS and other organizations and associations. | |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
Knowledge of contracts and grants development and management. Knowledge and understanding of all facets of state-of-the-art broadcasting and satellite operations, methods, techniques, facilities, and equipment. Knowledge of digital television technology and conversion strategies and processes. Integrated knowledge of television broadcast operations, programming, production, and marketing. Knowledge of FCC and CPB regulations and standards. | |
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. | |
Ability to utilize advertising and/or sales promotion techniques. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. | |
Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
