Purpose of Classification:
Under supervision, assists in cultivating and broadening alumni interest in and financial support of the university, in developing, strengthening and implementing both campus and regional alumni programs and in planning and implementing major homecoming and reunion events.
Standard Duties:
Assists in the development and coordination of programs and projects to promote alumni relations and educational programs such as Career Mentorship Program, Alumni Student Recruitment and Student Alumni Association organization. Assists in the planning and coordination of special events, including alumni and volunteer recognition banquets, receptions, homecoming, and reunions. May develop and present educational programs for alumni, including lectures, seminars, and workshops. Assists in coordinating and training volunteers who work on events, projects and programs. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of data management techniques.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Database management skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and facilitate a range of special events. Ability to develop, prepare, and deliver effective education programs, seminars and workshops relating to Alumni Relations. Ability to train and motivate volunteers.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- One (1) year of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
