Purpose of Classification: | |
This role will be accountable for creating marketing, ticketing, advertising, social media and promotional plans for specific sports and managing the individual sports budgets; works with the Creative Services crew on cohesive branding and creative for advertising materials; works with Video and Broadcast Services to create in-game and advertising and marketing video elements. Creates PA announcements scrips, promotion scripts and creates an exciting game day experience. will be responsible to work and lead gameday production for various sports. Works directly with a number of departments on campus and within athletics, including the coaching staffs to develop marketing plans and season campaigns. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Responsible for assisting the NMSU Athletic Marketing group of workers in the development, coordination and implementation of marketing, promotional and fan trip efforts for all 16 sports, and any specific sport or match to which assigned. Assist with managing public address announcers, coordinating music, video board elements, pep band, and other marketing needs to direct the drift of games, occasions and promotions as needed. Fulfill subsidized factors such as emblem exposure, PA announcements, promotions, and events. Improve the environment at each match via the use of games, giveaways, contests, minutiae and music, etc. Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Conference policies in the overall performance of job duties. Assist in the execution of in-game promotions, making sure contestants have been chosen for a seamless production. When not mainly assigned to a certain undertaking for the duration of the game, the Marketing and Game Operations Representative will help in the overall performance of all duties to make certain enthusiasm and a positive fan experience. Responsible for imposing progressive advertising applications or initiatives through partnering with athletic director to achieve/support organizational goals for market share, volume, revenue, working profits and manufacturer awareness. Draft and edit domestic stand and sport day sheets making sure they are up to date with the right information and being disbursed properly. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. | |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
Knowledge of athletic marketing experience, Adobe Creative Suite skills, audio/ video-editing skills, social media skills. | |
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; social media skills. | |
Ability to lead game day production for various sports Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate activities and special events. Ability to use independent judgment. | |
Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. | |
Experience- One (1) year of experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
Equivalency- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services. | |
