Purpose of Classification:
Responsible for directing all NMSU marketing and brand development activities and managing the university marketing services team. Oversee all traditional printed and digital marketing materials and advertisements produced by the university. Provide expertise for a wide range of existing and emerging web and digital technologies to support the university's strategic goals; and building, implementing and managing a coordinated master plan for NMSU websites.
Standard Duties:
Direct and manage strategic communications and integrated marketing plans for the unit goals in support of university strategic plans. Assess new stndards, technologies and trends, and formulates strategy and a plan for future enhancement of print, web and digital presence. Conducts market research and usability studies to inform marketing strategy and user experience. Directs unit operations, develops and administers unit budgets. Responsible for oversight in the management, development and training of staff in assigned departments. Develop, implement, and manage policy and rule administration for the university logo and online brand. Ensure compliance with federal web accessibility guidelines. Build, implement and manage a coordinated master plan for NMSU's website and online brand strategy. Establish and coordinate technology and strategic web-related communications across campus.

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Eight (8) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
