Purpose of Classification:
Direct the enhancement of donor relations through designing and managing a central cross-campus stewardship plan including training of college and department stewardship personnel. Coordinate campus-wide stewardship events including faculty, staff and students.
Standard Duties:
With minimal supervision, respond to inquiries and provide information to current and prospective donors about ways to give, particularly in the area of establishing either an endowed or current use fund, including mending of donor relations. Conduct central stewardship activities and donor relations of all gifts. Manage large projects such as Annual Endowment Reports, and acknowledgements from the Vice-President for University Advancement. Responsible for appropriate acknowledgement of special occasions for donors and prospects. Maintain records for tracking purposes in the database, including tracking dates of event and stewardship activities. Perform related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University’s mission, vision and goals. Knowledge of best practices as it relates to stewardship and advancement communications. Knowledge of social media tools.
Short- and long-term planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; interpersonal and organizational communication, both oral and written.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities. Ability to communicate with donors, orally and written on multiple levels. Ability to hire, train, supervise and motivate staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to duties as outlined.
