Purpose of Classification:
Provides annual giving fund-raising services University-wide and/or cross campus constituencies to the University Advancement Office. Participates and/or provides leadership, in the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of annual giving fund-raising projects and programs to meet established goals, strategies, and objectives. Plans and coordinates projects, programs and activities to increase visibility among internal and external constituencies.
Standard Duties:
With minimal supervision, develops coordinated html/online and direct mail program, develops comprehensive faculty/staff giving program, parents program, student program and graduates of the last decade (GOLD) program. Works with central team, colleges and units to develop annual giving strategies and solicitations plan for all prospects and donors. Specific goals and metrics will be set annually for the overall programs as well as colleges and units. Creates and implements appeals and programs that suit each or multiple constituencies. Works with stewardship to develop appropriate events and/or recognition programs to appropriately thank, recognize and provide impact of dollars. Ensures segmentation strategies at all levels complements each other. Creates and implements a comprehensive calendar of appeals, phone solicitations/surveys, activities, events and recognition programs to ensure that there is no over solicitation, double solicitation where there should not be and/or solicitation within a block of previous solicitation or gift made. In conjunction with communications team, develops and implements appropriate social media programs that complements the various annual giving programs targeted to particular constituents. Develop tracking to review metrics and results of various programs. Work with marketing coordinator to develop surveys and analyze results to determine if programs and solicitations are moving in the correct direction. Identifies, cultivates and solicits individual leadership annual giving prospects (1,000+). Reports results to central, colleges, and units on progress of individual programs and solicitations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of communication and marketing strategies, processes, and available resources.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Skill in organizing resources, establishing priorities and segmenting data. Candidate must be an independent thinker.
Must have the ability to develop, implement and lead programs and activities. Ability to work with diverse deans and development officers within colleges and units. Ability to provide excellent customer service. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate special events. Ability to lead and train staff and/or students. Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials. Ability to persuade and influence others.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field
   Experience- Three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- Equivalency of CFRE Certification may be considered as 1.5 years towards experience necessary for position
