Purpose of Classification:
Coordinates all aspects of the University Advancement related program(s), service(s), and/or fundraisers.
Standard Duties:
Develops, manages, and monitors complex programs and budgets for assigned areas. Acts as liaison to University departments and individuals as necessary. Coordinates reimbursement/administrative processes in support of a variety of individuals involved in Advancement activities. Analyzes data to support Advancement strategies; organizes and manages data to facilitate decision-making and prospect strategies. Coordinates and attends events and other activities in support of engagement, cultivation, and stewardship of alumni, prospects, and donors to expand the base of philanthropic support. Creates and maintains donor relations, solicitation and development records in systems used for Advancement tracking; responsible for timely and accurate report production and data updates. Coordinates and manages office projects and procedures to include, but not limited to, policy execution, office supply procurement, and equipment repair. Works closely with University Advancement management personnel to create and monitor efficiencies and maximize effective utilization of resources. Plans, develops or assists in the execution of programs/services/fundraisers. Coordinates, plans, and organizes board and committee meetings and other events to include activities such as set-up, agenda creation, invitations and RSVP's, speaker logistics, negotiating contractual obligations, taking minutes, and preparing reports. Monitors and may develop program/service budgets and ensures programs/services are operating within specifications. Maintains calendars, prepares itineraries and makes travel arrangements for those involved in Advancement programs/services. Identifies, screens, and recommends individuals, corporations, and foundations which qualify as prospective donors to and/or volunteers. Receives and resolves inquiries and problems. Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of communication principles, media, and marketing techniques. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Records maintenance skills. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Advanced writing and editorial skills. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
Ability to interact with students, faculty and/or staff in a team environment. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Ability to lead and train staff and/or students. Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments. Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- One (1) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.
