| Purpose of Classification: | |
| Under the direction of the Content Director, the Multimedia Reporter shall act as a general assignment editor and reporter producing broadcast and digital content.. | |
| Standard Duties: | |
| Responsible for the gathering, editing, writing, compiling, and programming of news stories, including support materials (audio and video). Acts as an announcer on specified radio and TV newscasts. Conducts training, under the direction of the Content Director, of students using the broadcast news operations. Acts as a producer/anchor, under the supervision of the Content Director, for newscasts. | |
| Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
| Working knowledge of reporting, as well as shooting and editing video. | |
| Short- and long-term planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; interpersonal and organizational communication, both oral and written. | |
| Develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities. | |
| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field. | |
