Purpose of Classification:
To coordinate all group sales efforts for all tickets sports (football, men's and women's basketball, volleyball, baseball and softball); game-day activities in all sports; and give-away items sponsorships; design game promotions; prepare advertising both for print and for radio; plan, budget, and coordinate future game promotions. Coordinate in-game marketing and promotions for various sports; write, create, and execute season-long marketing campaigns.
Standard Duties:
Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff; Create, implement, and manage promotions; Interact with media relations and staff to coordinate athletic events and sponsorship's; Game-day management and preparation; Provides hands-on experience for marketing students; Work with marketing team to develop strategies to increase attendance and revenues; Perform related duties as required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of university and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation; athletics, game day preparations; marketing and promotions strategies;
Skills in short- and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; report preparation and presentation; public contact and relations; oral and written communication; computers, multi-tasking.
Ability to direct, evaluate, train, and supervise the work of assigned personnel; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct activities; analyze and evaluate information; work outside of the normal business hours, including weekends and evenings.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- No previous work experience required.
   Equivalency- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.
