Purpose of Classification: | |
Under general supervision, installs, operates, maintains, and repairs broadcast equipment. Assists with performing functional and operational testing procedures. Assists with maintaining documentation in compliance with Federal Communication Commission rules and regulations, as applicable to the position. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Maintain video and audio air signal to FCC requirements. Following and maintaining Operations Logs, Transmitter Logs, Record Logs, and EAS Logs. Trouble shoot problems with programs, either playing or recording, as to source of problem. Shade and monitor studio camera control units for live programming.Assisting TV Engineering and other station personnel with projects necessary for broadcast operations. | |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
Knowledge of broadcast systems circuitry, design, and/or installation. | |
Skill in the configuration and use of computerized database programs. | |
Ability to test systems and/or operations in compliance with published standards. | |
Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- High School diploma or GED certificate. | |
Experience- No previous work experience required. | |
