| Purpose of Classification: | |
| Write and produce the pre-game and game broadcast of New Mexico State University athletic sports. | |
| Standard Duties: | |
| Broadcasts the play by play description of sports events. Records and produces pre-game show, this involves writing and recording scripts. Instructs and trains in methods and procedures. Performs related duties as required. | |
| Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
| University environment. Athletic sport. | |
| Public contact and speaking; report preparation and presentation. | |
| Communicate effectively in written and oral form; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct several activities; analyze and evaluate information. | |
| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Education- High School diploma or GED certificate. | |
| Experience- Four (4) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
| Equivalency- Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience. | |
