| Purpose of Classification: | |
| Performs roofing and repairs on various types of roofs. | |
| Standard Duties: | |
| Inspects roofs; determines repairs needed. Installs new roofs to include shingle, built-up, and Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) systems. Repairs all types of roofing systems. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. | |
| Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
| Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals. | |
| Skill in the use of appropriate tools and equipment. | |
| Ability to inspect roofs to determine repair needs. Ability to install roofing materials and adhesives. Ability to follow detailed instructions on the use of appropriate tools and applications techniques. Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures. | |
| Minimum Qualifications: | |
| Education- None | |
| Experience- One (1) year of experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
| Equivalency- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services. | |
