| Purpose of Classification: | |
| Operates equipment in the support of street and grounds maintenance. | |
| Standard Duties: | |
| Operates heavy equipment such as cranes, graders and bulldozers; Operates heavy equipment such as backhoes, front-end loaders, street sweepers, fork lifts, tractor trailers, tractors and boom, bucket, water or dump trucks; Operates lawnmowers, jackhammers, chain saws, trenchers, generators, compressors, tampers, rollers, cement saws, core drills, augers or sandblasters; uses hand tools; Services and performs general and preventative maintenance on equipment; Transports and delivers materials; Installs and maintains signs and fencing; Performs street maintenance and grounds excavation work; may remove snow from streets, walks and parking lots; may coordinate laborers and temporary employees. | |

| Education- None | |
| Experience- Three (3) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
| Equivalency- Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services. | |
