Purpose of Classification:
Reports to the Executive Vice President and Provost. The incumbent is the administrative officer responsible for creating, maintaining, and providing fundamental institutional research and planning information in support of decision making and policy development. Primary areas of support include, but not limited to, the University's planning processes, academic affairs budgeting, accreditation, enrollment management, academic program planning, program review, and assessment of student academic achievement.
Standard Duties:
Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes: work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance. Works with senior staff to develop an integrated approach to planning and assessment, ensuring linkages among program, unit, and University goals, and among evaluation, planning and budgeting processes. In collaboration with senior leadership and academic administrators: defines key performance indicators (KPIs) and correlating measures for assessing institutional effectiveness reporting at various levels in accordance with state and regional accreditation and quality standards. Develops data structures and collection processes for measuring the variables that comprise the KPIs. Leads the monitoring and reviewing of the KPIs and communicates analyses to appropriate senior leadership and academic administrators. Researches and shares other data-related information to support decision-making, program improvement, and resource allocation. Reviews existing strategic and operational plans to determine if other assessment methodologies would be useful in assessment, budgeting, and other university processes. Oversees the development and maintenance of the University Quick Facts Book and web site. Responds to internal data requests to support informed organizational and institutional planning, evaluation, operational improvements, predictive analyses, and decision making. Oversees institutional research staff and related functions such as data collection and statistical analysis. Presents analytical summaries, findings, and recommendations related to institutional effectiveness to appropriate stakeholders. Provides timely and accurate analytical support to academic administrators and faculty in areas of survey research, design, and analysis to support department level metrics for program assessment, as well as organization and institutional assessment initiatives, including assessment of student learning. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Eight (8) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
