Purpose of Classification:
Provides management and technical expertise to develop technical solutions for data warehousing, business intelligence and data analytics projects. Support enhancement and development of a modern data analytics program.
Standard Duties:
Responsible for providing technical solutions to the ever-growing needs of the customers in data management, warehousing and analytics areas. Architect and design in data analytics solution (COGNOS Preferred). Demonstrate leadership skills to manage project resources and cultivate strong customer relationships. Solve complex data architecture, data warehousing and advanced analytics problems. Conceptualize and communicate viable technical solutions that meets customer objectives and project requirements. Work with both functional and technical project teams to deliver products. Resolve complex technical and operational issues, manage risk and mitigate or manage issues associated with project delivery. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and strategic understanding of information security principles, practices, and requirements as they relate to a major public institution. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Knowledge and understanding of all Federal, State, and University laws, regulations, and standards pertaining to information security and privacy. Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of expertise. Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
Program planning, development, implementation, and leadership skills. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Skill in budget preparation, fiscal management and records maintenance skills.
Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports. Ability to supervise and train employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments. Ability to anticipate need and effectively assist the organization to rapidly adjust and respond to rapidly changing information security conditions and trends.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
