Purpose of Classification:
Under minimum supervision, performs work that is broad and complex. Evaluates, designs and maintains existing or proposed data telecommunication systems, hardware and software. Analyzes the needs of the user and recommends solutions. Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal programs or modifications to vendor software. Coordinates installation of hardware. Monitors the operation of voice telecommunications systems and services of vendors .
Standard Duties:
Evaluates, designs, and maintains existing or proposed data telecommunication systems, both hardware and software. Analyzes the needs of the user and recommends solutions. Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal programs or modifications to vendor software. Coordinates the installation of hardware. Monitors the operation of voice telecommunications systems and services of vendors. May train entry,junior or intermediate level employees in the technical complexities of assigned work. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
