Purpose of Classification: | |
Under general supervision, has overall responsibility for the evaluation, design and maintenance of existing or proposed data telecommunication systems (i.e. hardware and software).Makes recommendations to change procedures. Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal programs or modifications to vendor software. Monitors the operation of voice telecommunications systems and services of vendors.May supervise and train subordinates. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Evaluates, designs, and maintains existing or proposed data telecommunication systems (i.e. hardware and software). May analyze the needs of the user and recommends solutions. Prepares detailed specifications and flowcharts for implementation of new internal programs or modifications to vendor software. May assist with coordination of installation of hardware. Monitors the operation of voice telecommunications systems and services of vendors. Review progress and evaluates results.May supervise personnel which includes: work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance .Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. | |

Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Five (5) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
