Purpose of Classification:
Under general supervision, manages and administers systems analysis and computer programming functions of the organization. Develops and establishes department standards and procedures. Directs and coordinates efforts to maintain and upgrade current systems. Directs systems analysis, procedure development, and programming efforts in the study, design, and implementation of new systems and in the evaluation, acquisition, and installation of new equipment.
Standard Duties:
Responsible for the backups, upgrades and maintenance of hardware and software. Provide user assistance. Grant access and maintain user and Application security. Review Application (file cabinet) design. Maintain system hardware and operating system, monitor backups, coordinate with central server support to arrange repair, setup and maintain security policies for users. Ensure efficient management and allocation of resources used by the servers. Monitor, download and apply application upgrades, and updates applications. Provide technical assistance to users. Ensure timely backups of applications and data. Apply security policies, and manage access to the applications. Supervise the employees, resolve/mediate problems and issues, monitor quality of customer services, mentor employees, assist in the coordination of work orders. Supervise front-line end user support for hardware problems with computers, printers, and software problems. Set priorities for work order requests, provide technological leadership and mentoring to support staff, manage and track work orders. Act on behalf of Director in their absence. Develop and maintain professional relationships between department, vendors, state/federal agencies and other parties with ties to the department and the university acting as central point of contact. Serve as central point of contact between office and central IT office regarding information technology infrastructure. Interact with varied departments such as networking, server support, security and applications.

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
