Purpose of Classification:
Plans, conducts and supervises assignments generally involving the larger, more complex, and high profile projects. May lead or direct projects. Assists with the review and evaluation of employee performance. Provides functional and empirical analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of software operating systems, including but not limited to, utility software, development software, and diagnostic software. Participates in the development of test strategies, devices and systems.
Standard Duties:
Plans, conducts and supervises assignments, generally involving the larger and more important projects or more than one project. Reviews progress, evaluates results and recommends major changes in procedures. Oversees the supervision of personnel to include: work allocation, training, promotion and enforcement of internal procedures and controls and problem resolution;evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions;motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.May act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations. Operates with considerable latitude for unrelieved action or decision. Full lifecycle application development. Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages. Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis. Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD). Software modeling and simulation. Front end graphical user interface design. Software testing and quality assurance. Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation. Support, maintain and document software functionality. Integrate software with existing systems. Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation. Project Planning and Project Management. Maintain standards compliance. Implement localization or globalization of software.Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Eight (8) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
