Purpose of Classification: | |
Under indirect supervision, oversees fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of student technology programs and operations funded from student fees. Serves as principal point of representation and liaison with internal and external constituencies. Participates on project teams, develops project schedules and may be responsible for determining and acquiring resources needed. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Oversight of Las Cruces Campus student computer labs, responsible for lab schedules, operational personnel, and problem resolution with hardware and software. Installation of new software and hardware, determining supply needs. Keeps informed of state-of-art hardware and software and provides expert advice. Provides administrative support for the strategic planning activities and the university technology advisory committees, working directly with the CIO to facilitate changes, provide reports, and facilitate communication. Performs other duties as assigned. | |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
Knowledge of management principles and practices. Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures. | |
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Program planning and implementation skills. Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures. Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise. Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Two (2) years of experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
