Purpose of Classification:
Provides expertise to acquire, manage, manipulate, and analyze data and report results.
Standard Duties:
Identifies problematic areas and conducts research to determine the best course of action to correct the data. Analyzes and resolves issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of data. Analyzes reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate interdepartmental communication and monthly or daily data reports. Monitors for timely and accurate completion of select data elements. Identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex data sets. Monitors data statistics.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and technical expertise regarding data models and database design development. Understanding of XML and SQL. Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point. Knowledge of SAS, SPSS, or other statistical packages is desirable.
Programming skills. Query and report writing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to present complex information in an understandable and compelling manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- None.
