Purpose of Classification:
To administer the College Judicial System (primarily non-academic), and serve as a resource person and consultant for the academic community regarding student judicial issues.
Standard Duties:
Administer non-academic Student Judicial Systems. Investigate and adjudicate student misconduct violations. Identify and implement proactive measures to address safety and misconduct issues. Maintain academic and non-academic student judicial records. Advise President, VPAA, VPSS, Deans, Department Heads, and faculty on academic discipline cases. Assess Student Judicial policies and procedures targeting necessary changes for review by appropriate bodies. Complete annual reports on alcohol violations and campus-wide discipline cases. Chair/serve on special committees and perform duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Services. Serve as Chief Custodian for discipline records. Serve as Records Retention Coordinator for student judicial matters. Make presentations on student conduct and other topics. Performs related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
University and Department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; University environment; human behavior and student development theory; legal issues relative to higher education; case law and due process requirements.
Short- and long-range planning; problem analysis and resolution; preparation and presentation; public contact and relations, oral and written communication; crisis intervention basic counseling skills, and conflict.
Communicate effectively in written and oral form; develop and maintain effective working relationships; maintain accurate and orderly records; use independent judgment and initiative; organize and direct several activities; analyze and evaluate information; generate and present reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
