Purpose of Classification:
Responsible for one or several areas of student counseling services. Reports to the Director of Student Counseling.
Standard Duties:
Supervise, direct, delegate, and evaluate work of assigned staff. Trains graduate students in the counseling and psychology field. Provides individual, couple, group, and crisis services to students, faculty, and staff in personal and interpersonal adjustment, academic concerns, career and life planning. Conducts clinical assessments. Designs and implements various programs. Responsible for the configuration, maintenance, and operation of the Department's database system. Track Department data such as client demographics, presenting concerns, and rates of attendance. Responsible for maintaining and updating Department clinical service forms and oversee client-filing system. Coordinate assessment activities including establishing and maintaining consistent testing, administrative procedures and provide consultation and training on assessment related topics. Facilitate the weekly clinical issues meeting. Monitor quality assurance and client satisfaction with received services. Monitor average wait-time for services and average length of services. Initiates and implements outreach programs. Prepares written reports, education, and publicity materials, and correspondence. Serves as consultant to faculty, staff, and students on various topics. Serves on various university committees. Conducts field research. Recommends Department policies and procedures. Perform related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Doctorate degree in related field.
   Experience- Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- None
   Certifications/License- Licensed as a Psychologist in the State of New Mexico.
