Purpose of Classification:
Directs the overall development and operations of the Student Engagement.
Standard Duties:
Develop and administer academic support Student Success Center programs. Foster strong relationships with internal and external constituents to encourage student engagement in academic discipline, clubs, student organizations and community activities. Serve on advisory boards and university-appointed committees and task forces (Foundations of Excellence, University Assessment, Academic Advising, Teaching Academy, STEM). Secure external funding to support campus-wide retention and student engagement initiatives. Collaborate with Division of Student Success Leadership Team to identify initiatives to continuously improve student services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.
Excellent communication skills, ability to listen to new ideas and to respond in a timely manner to faculty, students, and staff. Demonstrated skill in working effectively with personnel conflicts and concerns.
Ability to solve problems and deliver difficult messages in a sensible way. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to establish and maintain a high degree of personal and departmental integrity and openness with students, faculty and staff. Demonstrated ability to administer in a fair, thorough and thoughtful way.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Eight (8) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
