Purpose of Classification: | |
The Manager is responsible for the administration of the Adult Basic Education program. This may include: grants and contracts, MOU/JPAs, delivery of instructional programs and student support services; oversee data quality, community outreach, budget development and management, professional development plan, student indicators, program improvement, strategic planning and reporting/accountability. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Serve as the Manager of the Adult Basic Education Program; Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel; Oversee program's goals, objectives and improvements; Responsible for development and/or administration of budget in areas of supervision; Serve as liaison between the ABE Program and the community college and university, community agencies, businesses and other groups, advisory committees, state and national groups; Provides student support services at various campus locations; Responsible for data quality audits/analysis; Provide end-of-year and mid-year reporting for grants and contracts as required; Serve on various community college committees; Develop and foster community partnerships; Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. | |

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals. | |

Demonstrated ability to administer in a fair, thorough and thoughtful way. Ability to solve problems and deliver difficulty massages in a sensible way. Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Master's degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Five (5) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
