Purpose of Classification: | |
Oversee and manage all Bus research projects performed by Arrowhead Center. Mentor and advise graduate assistants in their performance of business research. Meet grant/contract deliverables. Prepare and review business research documents. Support the Entrepreneurship Unit of Arrowhead Center in meeting its goals. | |
Standard Duties: | |
Directs and oversees activities and graduate assistants in support of directed learning experiences in the Arrowhead Center; assigns projects and tasks and monitors performance measures for research projects; interfaces with clients (external and internal to NMSU) for the purpose of defining the research problem, reporting on progress, setting up meetings, and delivering final reports; supervises graduate assistants, coordinates student work schedules, reviews report drafts, provides feedback and suggestions, and answers questions; executes entrepreneurship and Bus research requirements of grants for public and private sponsors; collaborates with Arrowhead Center staff on Center-wide strategies and initiatives; identifies and pursues qualified opportunities for new business in the area of entrepreneurship and business research. | |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | |
Knowledge of research methods; independent judgment and initiative; | |
Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated experience in short and long range planning; track record in problem analysis and resolution; experience in report generation and presentation. | |
Ability to analyze and evaluate information. | |
Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Master's degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Two (2) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
