Purpose of Classification:
Collection, analysis, synthesis and publication of open-source intelligence in response to FDA PREDICT Project tasking in order to improve risk assessment of imported products under FDA cognizance. Develop long- and short-term studies on tasked entities. Acquire and analyze data to produce specified written products and oral presentations. Leads small teams of analysts in tasked activities.
Standard Duties:
Collect, analyze, and synthesize open-source information in response to specific tasking. Prepare written reports based on analysis of open-source information using specified formats. Edit and prepare for publication reports written by junior analysts. Assist in training and development of junior analysts and new team members. Prepare and execute General Intelligence rules in the FDA PREDICT risk assessment system. Assist in establishing and maintaining cross-referenced intelligence databases, records and files. Populate and effectively use the ORION database in support of analytic activities. Identify and characterize for solution open-source collection impediments. Provide oral presentations of results of analysis to customers. Exercise sound operational security practice. Collaborate with team analysts, government analysts, commercial entities, and customer representatives to develop vetted analysis products. Perform related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
University and department policies and procedures; principles and practices of organization and administration; Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe document production, and Google Earth tools; advanced intelligence analytic methodologies and tools (i.e., leads task definition activities; organizational and system analysis; scenario generation and development; hypothesis generation and testing, analysis of competing hypotheses, bias detection, model selection, qualitative analytic testing); standard intelligence community (IC) reporting formats; IC structure, functions and processes; internet and deep web collection strategies; search engine peculiarities and limitations; HTML, trend analysis and search engine optimization (SEO) tools and strategies; conducts predictive analysis using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Problem identification, analysis and resolution; excellent, demonstrated intelligence writing and oral presentation skills; public contact and relations; competent and advanced in the use of research and reference library tools at the university level. Adept at alternative analytic strategies (i.e., devil's advocacy, red teaming, competing hypotheses)
Flourish in a team environment while also demonstrating an ability to work independently; work reliably under pressure and deadline; rapidly learn and understand new material outside one's area of expertise; interface regularly and professionally with customer representatives and subject matter experts worldwide; must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Three (3) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
