Purpose of Classification:
Coordinates preparation, packaging, and distribution of curriculum materials and exhibits. Organizes and archives case information and exhibits designed by the department and other sources. Monitors inventories, coordinates purchasing of supplies, and oversees check out and return of materials. Identifies and develops relationships with businesses to provide clean, non-toxic materials for re-use with children and encourages businesses to donate funds and/or services. May lead or guide the work of others.
Standard Duties:
Prepares educational and/or curriculum materials, designed and produced by external resources, for duplication and/or use by faculty or other educators. Consults with faculty or other educators regarding presentation of educational and/or curriculum materials. Coordinates distribution of materials to instructors, tutors, and/or other educators, and assists with setup and restoration for trainings/workshops. Coordinates the archiving of materials, item returns, and external access to materials; performs orientations to play-based learning and to the Center. Develops and processes materials, as appropriate to the position. Maintains Center database and assists with systems design. Assists with the design and the implementation of design for Center materials display, and in preparing materials. As appropriate to the position, coordinates the acquisition, warehousing, disposition, and/or transportation of related materials and property; maintains records of acquisition and disposition of materials as appropriate. Assists in ordering, care, maintenance, and utilization of department equipment, supplies, keys, and inventories. May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures. Knowledge of university accounting procedures involving procurement, travel, and/or employment. Knowledge of organizational structure, workflow, and operating procedures. Knowledge of procurement rules and regulations. Knowledge of accounts payable procedures and practices. Knowledge of accounts receivable procedures and practices.
Records maintenance skills. Expediting skills.
Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns. Ability to monitor and/or maintain quality control standards. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to complete routine paperwork. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel. Ability to coordinate quality assurance programs in area of specialty.
Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- High School diploma or GED certificate.
   Experience- Three (3) years of experience related to the standard duties as outlined.
   Equivalency- Completion of a post-secondary degree or certificate may substitute for years of experience.
