Purpose of Classification: | |
The Center Director is the chief administrator overseeing the day-to-day operations of an off-site campus/center. These responsibilities may involve more than one site. Responsibilities include supervision and evaluation, assisting division deans in the curriculum and instructional areas for their site(s), developing and managing the budget for their site(s) and involvement in strategic planning for their site(s). | |
Standard Duties: | |
The Center Director analyzes data to identify enrollment trends and scheduling patterns. Tracks on requests and complaints. Coordinates with student services to schedule recruitment, orientation and financial literacy events. The Center Director acts as a liaison to the Gadsden Independent School District, the community, the business community and all other relevant stakeholders. Provides guidance and leadership to adult education programs offered at the centers. Coordinates with department chairs/program directors, division deans, and associate vice presidents to arrange for course offerings and academic support services. The Center Director provides all new instructors with orientation to facilities and operations. The Center Director is responsible for developing and oversight of the budget for the center(s). Hires, supervises and evaluates professional and classified staff, to include Student Services Specialist, Building Monitor, Computer Support and Administrative Support Staff. The Center Director informs department chairs/program directors, and/or division deans of instructors’ non-attendance and inappropriate classroom environment The Center Director informs department chairs/program directors, and/or division deans of student concerns, accusations, grievances, or behavioral problems. | |

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals. | |

Minimum Qualifications: | |
Education- Bachelor’s degree in a related field. | |
Experience- Five (5) years of professional experience related to the standard duties as outlined. | |
