Purpose of Classification:
Directs the informational and technology support needs for a centralized unit within the University to include database, web, PC hardware/software, audio/visual presentations, email list-servs, servers, security, network.
Standard Duties:
Directs the support of Information and Technology (IT) needs for a centralized unit within the University. Provides technical expertise as needed. Oversees the implementation of special projects and initiatives. Oversees the development and maintenance of IT related policies, standards and procedures and insure compliance with these policies and standards as they relate to the unit. Leads the continuing strategic assessment of technological current and future needs for the centralized unit. Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and understanding of principles, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to the job. Understanding of the University's mission, vision and goals.

Minimum Qualifications:
   Education- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
   Experience- Eight (8) years of increasingly progressive management experience in one or more areas that report to this position.
