Team Partners

An Employment and Compensation Services (ECS) Team Partner is assigned to each College or Division within NMSU to provide guidance and support regarding employment and compensation matters. ECS Team Partners serve as consultants and collaborative partners in advising, processing, and ensuring compliance with employment and compensation-related actions in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. ECS Team Partners are also available to assist any department as needed.

Services Include, but Are Not Limited To:

  • Staff position postings, advertisement review, and approval
  • Staff hiring proposals and confirmation review and approval
  • New employee onboarding
  • Reclassifications, new position creation, in-range adjustments, and equity reviews
  • Employee job changes (e.g., PAFs)

ECS Team Partners Provide:

  • Training and guidance to departments on the day-to-day application of human resources programs, policies, and procedures
  • Research and analysis of HR related data, best practices, laws, policies, and procedures to support informed decision-making and compliance
